Clinical Support Staff (LPN/MA)
Position description
Clinical Support Staff (LPN/MA) provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the provider and accepts delegation from the provider/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family. Collects data through observation and communicates information to assist the provider in patient assessment and care planning. Collaborates daily with providers and front desk receptionists for patient care at the office. In the Clinical Support Staff (LPN/MA) role in the practice, performs tasks related to patient visits which include, but are not limited to: review of patient health history, medication review, taking vitals, giving injections, drawing blood/other specimens for labs, injection and immunization administration. Will also be involved in collecting pertinent patient information ahead of a provider visit, facilitating prior authorization and prescription needs of the patient. Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, and policies-procedures of the organization.
The Clinical Support Staff (LPN/MA) possesses excellent communication skills; will participate in organization’s quality improvement projects.
